Barramundi – Barra most tasty fish and my favourite.

    August 31st, 2008 at 3:30pm |

Me and my cousins used to go for fishing regularly when i was in my schooling and college. One of my favorite both to eat and to catch is the great Barramundi. Barramundi is a native Australian fish but now its available in almost all tropical waters. Indian coastal waters have a rich resource of Barramundi. Barras like to live in rocky areas and ofcourse that’s the best place to catch them as well. If you are hooking a 10 KG barra i am sure you will have a great game with your rod. Barramundi’s are a dream catch for all fishing lovers. Its exciting to play with them especially their jump out of water is fantastic to see when they are hooked.

Look at this picture its a nice sized barra i have seen Barramundi’s in size of 25 to 30 Kg. Largest in the world is around 40 KG so i am not too far away from seeing one large one. Ofcourse it could have been caught in our waters but should have ended up in meal plates before even anyone realizing its importance. Ofcourse its not me in that picture but look at the size of that fish :-)
