People here in India are not much aware of Swing dancing. Mostly people here know the traditional jive, only very recently we are being introduced to 6 step East Coast Swing. Even that people call it 6 step jive. What we call jive here don’t really exist anymore. Most of the jiving had been replaced by Swing dancing. We have huge variety of swing dancing.

One of the most energetic and lively dance of all is Lindy its amazing to see people dance Lindy on social dancing places. I took an intensive course on Lindy. This is a great competition dance and its very famous all over US. It was first danced among the African american community but now has reached almost all the US people. Its mostly loved among youngsters who like to hang out for lindy social nights.

Best place for Lindy Social nights in OC , CA is on Friday nights in Atomic Ballroom. I never miss Swing on friday nights in Irvine. I lived like 5 minutes near to that place and it was easy for me hangout on friday nights. I miss my swing nights now since i am back in India
