Scammers are finding different ways to cheat people. Recently we got a request through our contact form that someone from Canada named Robert was willing to become a reseller for our services for local clients in Toronto. We are looking for resellers so i agreed and was ready to send agreement to that guy. But the next day we got calls and emails from people that they are receiving Fake invoices in the name of our company. It was stunning we were surprised because we never send invoices on random and we never charge anyone for service we never did.

We realized someone was trying to scam and we asked one Mr. Donald who got the fake invoice to send a copy to us. He sent us a copy and when we checked it we can see the scammer took logo from our website and created a fake invoice and was sending it to local clients saying they need to pay 250$ for Search engine submission services. Invoice had a phone number and a fax number which was the same number that we got through online contact form from same scammer who wanted to be our reseller. I immediately tried calling that number but it was not reachable. I sent a Cease and Desist to the email ID which was given to us by the scammer.

This is the email we sent him:

“Hello,

It has come to our notice that you are using our Company name illegally to send FAKE invoices to local residents in Toronto Canada. This attempt by you to sabotage our reputation with our current clients and future potential clients is not acceptable. We are launching a formal complaint with Toronto Police on this behavior of yours tomorrow. We have the fake invoice in our hands with your phone number in it. We are also ordering a immediate Cease and desist of all illegal activities you are doing in the name of our company. We will claim 25,000 CAD as monetary damages for the bad name you are attempting to bring to our company. After our police complaint if we see any continues illegal activity in our company name we will precede with Criminal and Civil proceedings against you.

I got a call that day from the scammer saying he sent invoices because he wanted to be our reseller. Well how can someone send invoice for a service they never did. This guy is a moron who leads a low life scamming people. He should be put in jail for the rest of his life. We also filed a police complaint to toronto police:

We sent them the following email through their contact form:

“To: Fraud and Forgery
From: *************@searchenginegenie.com
Subject: Fraud by an individual using our Company Name,
Message: Hello Sir, This individual from Toronto Canada with the name Robert Nisman contacted us through our online form at www.searchenginegenie.com requesting to be a reseller for our company in Canada. We never signed up with him he asked us to send some sort of agreement i thought he is a valid person and was preparing a agreement for him. I never sent him any agreement nor did I sign any agreement with him. But all of a sudden we start getting calls from people in toronto that they are getting FAKE invoices in our company name. We followed up with Mr.Donald who got this fake invoice and got a scanned copy of the fake invoice he got. We were surprised to see the same phone number which this Mr.Robert gave us through online form printed on the Fake invoice. This individual is using our company name illegally and sending FAKE invoices to scam people. I am afraid he is doing this not just in our Company name ( Search Engine Genie ) but in the name of many other companies. I want to bring this to your notice so that you can stop this individual from scamming people for their hard earned money. Following are the email IDs of the scammer searchtrafficmarketing@gmail.com rob.1971@hotmail.com Following is the phone number and fax number he gave. its a local toronto number. 416-546-2095 416-519-2602 I see the same numbers in fake invoice he sent out to people. If you want i can send you the fake invoice i got. Please take immediate action and stop this scammer before he scams people of their hard earned money. He is a disgrace to the society and people like him should be in Jail. We have consulted our lawyers for a legal action against him. Well i am posting it here so that other companies are careful about these type of scammers. We will fight these low life’s with iron hands.
