In Australia, the merchants in Australia generally send some orders of a thousand pounds at a time to make Valentines Day grander. The most profligate of valentines were made of a satin cushion and ornately designed with flowers, colored shells, ribbons etc.

In countries like Austria and Germany, men buy flowers for their sweethearts. They buy the flower their sweethearts like both in terms of color and fragrance.
