International women’s day – My tribute to women all around this world:
International Women’s Day (IWD) is marked on March 8 every year. It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women. Most undeveloped countries are still the ones badly affected especially their attitude towards women is very bad. Lots of undeveloped countries are in some sort of civil war and this is not helping women. According to a data held by UNICEF women are 300 times more vulnerable during child births than in developed countries.
In india status of Women have improved much more than what it used to be before few decades. Equal rights had been provided to women in many areas including working conditions. Women are paid almost equal to men or infact more than men in some industry. Today in cities like Bangalore, Mangalore we are seeing a lot of attack against women in the name of moral policing. According to me women should take their own decision and only people who should control them should be there parents. Moral policing is a piece of crap and people who are trying to impose it are low life idiots.
But there are countries that still suppress women especially Islamic countries impose strict rules on women. I am sure this free world should change the attitude of some Islamic countries which are suppressing women and depriving them of their social rights.
I am sure 2009 will bring more rights and freedom to women all over the world.
