Power Of Genie

All i would say is i love this film basically i like Hindi films especially. Love in Hindi films are  too good. This movie had a blend of both love and comedy. Its more a family friendly movie targeted  for the youth. No romance but lot of humor. I always feel romance and love should go together  Especially with such good pair directory just missed a golden opportunity. I enjoyed the comedy a  lot. It was one funny movie, i laughed my heart out after a lot time.

When i read online reviews most of the critics and movie reviewers say Ranbir and Katrina Kaif’s  Chemistry was excellent in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. I am no where near the quality of those  reviewers but i feel there was no chemistry at all. They look good as a pair but the chemistry its  not there at all. In many occasions i don’t see them as the most comfortable pair. When it comes to  chemistry i need to give it to the guys they are the bolder ones and they make the chemistry work in  movies. I feel Ranbir was not up to the mark on that.It was a bit weird to see 2 body builders ( Rahul Jalan and Tony ) compete with Ranbir for a girl. 
Don’t know what was going on in director’s mind there are many good looking guys who are not  necessarily body builders but he selected 2 guys with good body to compete with Ranbir who doesn’t  have any muscles Rahul Jalan ( Upen patel ) did his job well he was well suited for his character. He was pretty  smart in some interesting occasions. First meet up with prem was cool both of them were doing some  interesting and weird faces.I enjoyed the dance part scene.

Oh my god director was at his best when he directed the dance party  scene. Prem’s ( Ranbir ) attitude was too good. Being a dancer i observe a lot when it comes to  dancing, the moves prem does during the dance party was cool. They are not great dance steps but  director introduced a lot of attitude there. Ranbir was at its best when he did those crazy moves  during the dance part scene. Tony ( Pradeep Kharab ) was cool too he did his best to be funny on  scene its not easy for a guy with his appearance but he performed his role best.

Coming to katrina we don’t have to tell she is good in what she does. She did a great job in New  york and she has done it again she was one bubbly baby just jumping around in the movie. One thing i  feel she doesn’t look 100% indian. Its obvious because her mother is from England. She has great 
future in this industry.

I feel there are some really pushed scenes like the ones in the start of 2nd half. I was about to  sleep off when they woke me up with some hilarious comedy. I need to highlight some noted characters  like the villian ( Zakir hussain ) the politician ( Rahul’s father – Govind Namdeo ) all did their 
job to the best. Even prem’s mother and father were giving their best.

Overall i would rate this movie high. 2 best things

1. Comedy – Well blended with the movie.
2. Direction – It was unique and stylish i have to give it to the director

Diwali an auspicious festival in India was celebrated in India on Saturday. We wanted to celebrate this year in our office. So we had major plans about crackers, lighting deepam etc. It turned out lot of our colleagues need to leave to their native places in various cities to celebrate diwali. We had only 50% of attendance on Friday 17^th October 2009 the day we celebrated diwali. So we need to cancel some plans and go only for bursting crackers.

Around 4.00 Pm we had 2009 Quiz trial rounds it was fun organizing and most of them enjoyed it. As soon as the Quiz got over we went to our terrace and started bursting crackers. It was quite a bit crowd more than 20 members and this is the 1^st time I am celebrating diwali with such big crowd. My family is small and the most people we ever had on a diwali day was only 10 but Friday it was more than 30. Guys were just jumping around playing with crackers it was cool to see everyone enjoy. We had a hell of a time for about 1 hour. Some guys and girls were taking pictures and videos. Best part of the day was during the end where they tried to burn every waste there. I need to stop them because it was our 4^th floor and its not safe to play such kind of stuff.

Overall the day was great and we had a great time together. I have a lot of hectic days to come both in work and in entertainment I will keep posting updates on progress

In my previous posting I posted about the different games that have started to happen in our office. Now Chess my favorite game has started and going on pretty smooth. Chess has been one of my passionate games from my childhood I wanted to become a champion but things went the other way any  way forget it. I want to give a brief update on the current status of our Chess tournament.

I have given few tips to tackle strong opponents and my colleague is doing a good job till now.  This Chess tournament is not just about winning it also gives a lot of good learning experience for complete amateurs. It brings motivation into people’s mind those people who never know how to move a piece on the board are showing a lot of spirit in their game.  The opening ceremony of the tournament is been done by one of my favorite game chess. It is the longest event among all the games which will take around 1.5 to 2 months to complete because we has to play all the game during non-office hours and each session is about half n hour long. Chess is one of the most exciting and challenging game for me. I am eagerly waiting to play this challenging game. I hope everything goes well with great determination.

My opinion – Though i am strong minded i don’t take bold decisions at times it helped also it has put me down i want to improvize on that.

There are three reasons why you must watch Love Aaj Kal- dialogues, performances and music.
Love Aaj Kal is about Jai (Saif Ali Khan) a metropolitan male who can’t understand the meaning of love. His girl friend Meera (Deepika Padukone) also believes in choosing career over romance. After a mutual breakup, Jai meets the grand old Veer (Rishi Kapoor). He narrates his own love story to give Jai, which highlights the meaning of old-fashioned romance.

When talking about saif ali khan in this movie, Saif is charming as ever with his wise crack and mannerism. However it’s in the emotional sequence towards the end, where you realize how much he has matured over the years just like in the kal ho Na ho and hum tum. He has almost played a similar role in compare to kal ho Na ho and Hum tum. Deepika Padukone- the upcoming Bollywood actress is the real surprise. Looking her best ever, Deepika delivers a amazingly effortless performance. A scene where she checks herself out in the mirror before heading for a date is a gem of a moment. And yes for the first time we discover that the girl knows how to cry.

Talking about Imtiaz’s dialogues is once again straight out of everyday conversations. He speaks a language of the youth & has had different interpretation of love stories which seem closer to reality. The scenes between Rishi and Saif are bound to remind you of the advice your dad gives you about settling down in life.

Love Aaj Kal is not perfect. The film literally holds up a mirror to the commitment phobia of the young, successful professionals who keep changing their status from ‘committed’ to ’single’ on the sundry social networking sites.

This is the funniest video i have watched for a long time. Its hilarious i cannot stop laughing.

I  see this documentary every Monday at 10.00 Pm in National Geographic channel. Its one of the most chilling series I have seen. It leaves me completely stunned by the reality of going to Jail. They show how people suffer going to Jail especially getting caught in a foreign Jail.

It reveals the true stories of people who travelled abroad for fun end up doing something really stupid and ending up in Jail. What ever period they are in Jail it’s a nightmare for them since different countries have different rules.

We know every newspaper and Indian online news sites covering the possible rape of a maid by Shiney Ahuja of Bollywood movie industry. Most of the media supports the girl and go all out on Shiney Ahuja saying he is a crap, a low life and all sort of worst accustation. I for one contradict this whole rape thing. Its virtually impossible to just rape a girl and get away. My contradictions

1. Shiney is already in movie industry. I too have friends in movie industry and its very easy to get access to good looking girls ,especially people like shiney who is already popular in Bollywood will have good links. He never have to go behind a servant girl. In a country like India where prostitution is so open and for an actor like him who can essentially enjoy with any high society girls, it’s very strange that he opted for a domestic helper.

2. Shiney seems to have admitted consensual sex while the media and police accuse him of rape without thorough investigation.

3. The Maid complains that Shiney made advances on Saturday but still she went back to work on Sunday. How is this possible why didn’t she tell her Mother or Shiney’s wife about this.

4. Also i for one who believe there is nothing you can do to a girl if she never agrees. Atleast one to one its impossible to  rape a girl unless she concens. I feel this girl has planned this already.

5. Shiney doesn’t have any criminal background. He is a popular actor and don’t have any complains against him. Why suddenly all these?

There is a big difference between rape and consensual sex. I believe what Shiney did was consensual sex but things might have gone aggressive when the girl tried to resist for unknown reasons. Whether its rape or consensual sex still you will find evidence there was an intercourse. So police might have assumed because they see evidence of an intercourse they say its rape. I feel media and the girl are trying to use it against him. What i see here is a potential motive to go behind Shiney’s Money by allowing consensual sex and later calling it rape. Its very much possible right?

What i say is let the court decide. Every person is innocent unless proven guilty. If he is really guilty of it, then he is a very sick man. But i have serious doubt he would have done this. I am a guy so people might think i am supporting an other man. Well when real rape happens i am the first person to stand against it. Here it never sounds like a real rape only the media is making it big. Most of the media who blatantly accuss Shiney of rape are just too sick and need to be more responsible. Listen to both side of story. We want girls to have equal rights and we are against woman discrimination. But that shouldn’t ruin some innocent guy’s life.
